01Our commitment
GirlX and Connectiva Labs have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form.
These published standards apply to the GirlX app and all its features — profiles, chat, and shared content. They align with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and are reviewed regularly as the app and applicable laws evolve.
0218+ only platform
- GirlX is a dating and social app strictly for adults aged 18 and above — minors are not permitted on the platform under any circumstances.
- Users must provide their date of birth at signup; accounts indicating an underage user cannot be created.
- Any account found to belong to a minor — by report, moderation, or verification signals — is removed immediately and its data deleted.
- Adults attempting to use GirlX to contact minors are banned permanently and reported to authorities.
03Prohibited content & behaviour
The following are strictly prohibited on GirlX. We remove such content, permanently ban the accounts involved, and report to the appropriate authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any visual, written, or audio content that sexualises or depicts the sexual abuse of a minor, whether real, altered, or AI-generated;
- Grooming — building trust with a minor to enable sexual contact, exploitation, or abuse, online or offline;
- Sextortion — threatening or blackmailing anyone using real or alleged intimate images of a minor;
- Sexualisation of minors — including profile content, messages, or imagery presenting a minor in a sexualised manner, or an adult posing as a minor;
- Trafficking or solicitation — advertising, soliciting, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor in any way.
04How to report
In-app reporting
Every profile and conversation in GirlX has a Report option. Reports involving suspected minors or CSAE are prioritised ahead of all other moderation queues. You can also Block any user instantly.
Direct reporting
Email our child safety team: safety.girlx@connectivalabs.com
Include the profile/username involved and screenshots if available. Reports may be made anonymously.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. In India you can also report at cybercrime.gov.in or call the cybercrime helpline 1930.
05How we act on reports
- Child-safety reports are reviewed on priority, ahead of all other reports;
- Confirmed violating content is removed immediately and the account permanently banned, along with associated accounts and devices we can identify;
- We use a combination of user reports, human moderation, and automated detection signals to identify underage accounts and CSAE proactively;
- We preserve evidence as required by law so authorities can investigate.
06Cooperation with authorities
When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE activity, we report it to the appropriate authorities — including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable, and relevant law enforcement in India and other jurisdictions. We respond promptly to lawful law-enforcement requests relating to child safety.
07Legal compliance
GirlX complies with applicable child safety laws in the regions where it operates, including India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, along with other applicable national and international child protection laws and the child safety requirements of the app stores where GirlX is distributed.
